Highlight of the Week
Stillwater Music will host its 10th annual Party in the Park from noon to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Buckley Park in Durango.
The party will feature more than 120 young people performing live music by Stillwater Music bands and dance from Bella Dance groups. Students from Durango Martial Arts Academy will give demonstrations as well.
There will also be booths hosted by area organizations with information about their summer programs for kids, including: Bella Dace, Seed Studio, 4 Corners Riversports, Adaptive Sports Association, Boy Scouts Troop 538, Cub Scout Pack 502, Colvig Silver Camps, Durango Martial Arts Academy, FLC Mini Sports Camp, Girl Scouts, Durango Arts Center, Powerhouse Science Center and Stillwater Music. This is a free family event.
There will also be hands-on activities for kids and food from Juicy’s Shanty along with five hours of live music.
This event is sponsored by First Southwest Bank, the City of Durango, John A. Rothchild, D.D.S, and the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County.
