The Season of Alola is now one-third over, but there are still plenty of seasonal events on the way to Pokemon GO in the coming two months. April is up next and the official calendar of events is jam-packed with activities and special events that should help keep players busy in the coming four weeks, so get ready to celebrate the beginning of spring…
Now that the April activities have all been confirmed, players can start looking ahead to find out what bonuses, spawns, Battle Raids, and events are on the way. The Pokemon GO activities aren’t wasting any time and will kick April with some find of surprise April Fool’s celebration. After that, it won’t be long before a string of other events begin unfolding to take players through the rest of the month’s planned activities.
The established Season of Alola spawns and bonuses will continue in April, but there will also be some special events unique to this month. According to the calendar, players should start planning ahead for an early month Team GO Rocket takeover attempt, which means lots of grunts and Team GO Rocket leader battles are likely on the way early next week. Looking further ahead, players will have a few events to help celebrate the offical start of spring and a Sustainability Week event.

From Tuesday, April 12, 2022, to Monday, April 18, 2022, get ready to jump headfirst into spring with this themed event.
Sustainability Week
From Wednesday, April 20, 2022, to Monday, April 25, 2022, Trainers will be able to reflect on the importance of sustainability while another Pokémon originally discovered in the Alola region makes its Pokémon debut!
Spotlight Hours
In the month of April, Pokémon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, and each will spotlight a different Pokémon and a special bonus!
- April 5: Stunky | 2× Candy for transferring Pokémon
- April 12: Bunnelby | 2× XP for evolving Pokémon
- April 19: Oddish | 2× Catch Stardust
- April 26: Sunshine Form Cherrim | 2× Catch XP
Raid Hours
Every Wednesday in April, a Raid Hour event will occur from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. The following Pokémon will be featured:
- April 6: Therian Forme Thundurus
- April 13: Tapu Bulu
- April 20: Tapu Bulu
- April 27: Therian Forme Landorus
This month isn’t quite as action-packed as the last few months, but it may be the calm before the storm. Pokemon GO is known to kick into high gear as soon as the warm weather arrives, so players can expect May and June to be in high gear when they arrive.
