The Home Ranch Bottoms in Polebridge is highlighting the summer season with several upcoming music events that are free and open to the public.
The following music events will be held at the outdoor stage in the ranch’s beer garden.
• Monday, July 4 at 5 p.m. Bo Depena. The Colorado-based Americana/Country musician is originally from Texas bringing high-energy shows around the mountain west. Influenced by the likes of Townes Van Zandt, George Strait, Willie Nelson, and Merle Haggard, his lyrical content is often universal, evoking memories of past lives, lost loves, and a longing for home.
• Saturday, July 9 at 7 p.m. Mandy Rowen. Having just released her fourth album, Parachute, Mandy Rowen of East Texas, has been a practicing musician since the tender age of 6. A multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, her Americana and Alt-country vibes create a sound that is equal parts bourbon and honey with a search for meaning and seeking of answers while reveling in the wonder of it all.
• Thursday, July 14 and Friday, July 15 at 5 p.m. Sean Devine. A fifth-generation Montanan, musician Sean Devine’s live performances bring together the rugged landscape of the West, a wealth of original songs, and a lifetime of personal experience. His latest album, Here for It All, showcases his ability as an acoustic guitarist and storyteller sharing his experiences with finding a way forward while bringing your past with you.
• Saturday, July 30 noon to 5 p.m. Bear Fai. This annual event includes diverse exhibits and speakers, and a live acoustic performance by musician and Glacier National Park Ranger Ross Vorhess. The day’s festivities are focused on conservation, education, and awareness on coexisting with bears in the northwest Montana region.
• Tuesday, Aug. 2 and Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 5 p.m. Chris Acker. New Orleans-based country-folk songsmith Chris Acker will share his collection of songs brimming with true tales, eloquent songwriting and fearless honesty. His third and latest record, Odd, Ordinary and Otherwise, flows gracefully from introspective, quiet tunes worthy of the modern folk music cannon, to downright barn burners ready for any dancehall and all the space in between.
Located about four miles south of Polebridge at 8950 North Fork Road, the “new” Home Ranch Bottoms re-opened last year when Flannery and Danny Freund purchased the unofficial “Welcome Center of the North Fork.”
