2022 Schedule

From Tuesday, May 17 through Friday, May 20, we have the following events planned to celebration seniors prior to Commencement. Please note eligibility for Senior Celebration event attendance is limited to senior students who plan to participate in May 2022 commencement. No guests will be permitted.

Tuesday, May 17

Cap Decorating

11am-4pm: Shapiro Campus Center (SCC) Atrium
Bring your graduation cap and decorate it with supplies we provide!

Mohegan Sun Casino Trip

5pm-2am:– ($15 ticket – see ticket information below)

Includes round trip transportation to the casino in Uncasville, CT, as well as entry to Avalon Night Club (21+ only). 21+ will have access to the full casino facility, including bars, restaurants, and shops. While the trip is open to all seniors, the night club, casino floor, and other venues are 21+ only; a limited number of stores and restaurants will be open to students under 21, but we encourage you to email studentactivities@brandeis.edu prior to purchasing a ticket to ensure you have all the information you need.

Buses will depart campus at 5pm and arrive to the casino around 7pm. Buses will depart the casino at 12am (midnight) and arrive back to campus around 2am. More information will be shared with students who register for this event.

Wednesday, May 18

Kickball Tournament

11am-6pm: Athletic Fields

Enter your team of 10 or just come to watch! You can register a team here until May 18; individuals looking to join a team can sign up at Senior Send Off today or tomorrow. A $10 entry fee per team applies.

Senior Toast

7pm-8pm: Shapiro Campus Center(SCC) Atrium

Come cheers with your classmates as a way to mark your upcoming commencement and connect as a class!

Thursday, May 19

Cap Decorating

Boston Harbor Cruise

10pm-3am:– ($25 ticket – see ticket information below)

Includes round trip transportation, appetizer buffet on the boat (vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian options available; Kosher meals must be ordered at Senior Send Off or by emailing studentactivities@brandeis.edu by May 4 at 5pm), DJ, and soft drinks. This trip is 21+ only, due to boat policies. Cash bar will be available. Buses will depart campus at 10pm and arrive to the dock around 11pm. The boat will load at 11pm and set sail around 12am (midnight). The boat will return to the dock at 2am, and buses will return to campus around 3am.

Friday, May 20

President’s Reception

4pm-6pm: Shapiro Campus Center(SCC) Atrium
This reception hosted by President Liebowitz is open to all seniors and their families.

Drag Bingo

8pm-9pm: Sherman Function Hall
Join your classmates for one last game of bingo. Join us for Drag Bingo for some entertainment and great prizes!

Other Helpful Information

Students are encouraged to visit the Commencement Weekend website for more information about religious services and Shabbat dinner.

Please also note that during Senior Celebration, Lower Usdan Resident Dining will be closed; however, Sherman will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner hours (times vary). Einstein’s will be open 8am-2pm most days. Most other retail locations will be closed.

Ticket Information for Senior Celebration

You can purchase your tickets for the Mohegan Sun Casino Trip and/or the Boston Harbor Cruise (all other Senior Celebration events are free) at Senior Send Off today or tomorrow or at the Box Office during the following dates/times:

Thursday, May 5: 12pm-6pm
Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7: 12pm-4pm
Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13: 12pm-4pm
Monday, May 16: 10am-6pm (Final day of sales with extended hours)

Cash, Check, MasterCard and Visa are accepted. Tickets are non-transferable (tickets have the name of the purchaser/intended user printed on them.) All sales are non-refundable. 

Tickets will not be available at the buses. All tickets must be purchased in advance by members of the Class of 2022 for their personal use. Brandeis ID is required. Only one ticket per senior per event. If unable to purchase in person, seniors may designate a proxy to purchase their tickets for them by emailing their name and the name of their proxy at least 24 hours in advance to brandeistickets@brandeis.edu.
