Mercedes will run a Pride Star on its W13 across the next three grands prix in order to mark Pride Month.
This weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix is the first to take place this year in June, the month in which LGBTQ+ communities around the world are celebrated.
The rainbow star will run on the W13s driven by Lewis Hamilton and George Russell across the next three events in Azerbaijan, Canada and Britain.
Hamilton and Russell will also sport the star on their helmets at the upcoming events.
Mercedes has previously won in Azerbaijan on three occasions – courtesy of Nico Rosberg in 2016, Hamilton in 2018 and Valtteri Bottas in 2019 – but has yet to claim a victory in 2022.
It enters the eighth round of the season third in the Constructors’ Championship, 101 points behind leaders Red Bull Racing.
