— Saturday’s high of 40 degrees didn’t deter the eagerness of area youngsters, who dressed up in vibrant Easter colors for a morning of Easter egg hunting activities scattered around Kandiyohi County.
Early in the day, children and their families crammed into an activities room over at the Willmar Public Library for arts and crafts, pictures with the Easter bunny and the grand finale of an egg hunt downstairs among the countless rows of books.
Due to the popularity of the event the previous time it was held in 2019, the event was limited to participants and had two sessions throughout the morning. Each child was able to walk away with five eggs.
Later in the morning, bundled-up kiddos gathered at the Lake Lillian City Park for a hunt and additional prizes.
In addition, the New London Ambassador Annual Pancake Feed & Easter Egg Hunt was an ongoing event throughout the morning hours, where kids and families could partake in an indoor egg hunt, enjoy a proper pancake breakfast, silent auction, bake sale and bike giveaway.
